Sony Vaio luncurkan laptop seri Z, seri dengan performa tinggi yang ditujukan bagi kelas pebisnis. Meski tangguh, tapi notebook ini dirancang tipis 16,5mm, dengan berat 1,165kg saja. Sehingga, memudahkan mobilitas serta lebih gaya.
Untuk mendapatkan ketipisan notebook yang diinginkan dan kompak dengen keseluruhan desain, Sony bahkan merancang dan merakit sendiri baterai yang digunakan pada laptopnya. Hal ini seperti diungkap Satoru Arai, Presiden Director PT Sony Indonesia saat peluncuran laptop ini beberapa waktu lalu. Intel Core i7 generasi kedua juga ikut memperkuat perangkat ini. Urusan hardisk pun ditangani oleh SSD RAID yang lebih hemat tempat juga tentunya. Disediakan juga Quick Boot yang bisa menampilkan Genuine Windows dalam 15 detik. Penting bagi mereka yang butuh mengakses komputer pribadi ini dengan cepat.
Disediakan pula Power Media Dock yang akan menghubungkan perangkat-perangkat USB dengan VAIO ketika maptop ini tidak dicolokkan. Docking station ini terhubung dengan laptop menggunakan kabel optik. Mendukung juga pertukaran data kecepatan tinggi yang diseut sebagai ‘Light Peak’Kinerja grafis juga ditingkatkan dengan Power Dock ini. AMD Radeon HD 6650 dan VRAM 1Gb. VAIO Seri Z juga bisa menangani hingga empat tampilan, termasuk layar notebook. Pot HDMI maupun VGA bisa digunakan untuk berbagi tampilan.
